Mark Tkachenko Bio
I was born in Ukraine, but my journey started early — when I was just 1 year old, my family moved abroad. I spent parts of my childhood in Austria, then Spain, and eventually found my true home on the coast of Portugal, where I first discovered surfing at the age of 8. The moment I stood up on a board, I felt something click — like the ocean had been waiting for me. Since then, surfing has become my world.
I train almost every day, no matter the conditions — in the water, in the gym, and even with breathing and mindset work. I'm proud to be the Ukrainian national surf champion, and recently I took 1st place in a Portuguese national competition. But what matters most to me isn’t just the medals — it’s how much I grow every time I paddle out.

Surfing is more than a sport to me — it’s a lifestyle, a discipline, and a story worth telling. My dream is to ride the world’s most powerful waves, but also to capture the real journey behind the scenes — through visuals, films, and design.
I want to show what it truly means to grow up inside this life: the early mornings, the wipeouts, the mindset, the wins. I want to create my own surfwear line for young athletes, document life through a visual journal, and inspire a new generation of focused, creative, high-performance kids who see discipline as their superpower — not a burden.
I believe that being young is not a limitation — it's my advantage.
And I’m here to build something that lasts far beyond the finish line.
